Halloween, Junior year of high school. This Superman outfit is supposed to be for a child. Bless the days when I could fit into a child's Halloween costume (even if it is a bit short). I morphed (read: taped) two shots into one to make it look sort of like two pages in a flipbook, so I could hang it in my locker at school. It's taken at my dad's house.
Here I am in my dorm room at St. Olaf Freshman year. I am talking to Dave on the phone, and my roommate Kristin took this picture. Notice the poster of Luke Skywalker on the wall. I don't know why I have that guitar. I have never played.
This next one is Dave and me at St. Olaf during Sophomore year. Look how young we are. And we both needed a bit of fashion help.
I think this might be the same day, but I like this picture, so here you go.

Why does this post not contain the term, "Jedi by insemination"?
I must say, the retake pic is one of my all-time favorites.
I'd like a copy to hang in my stairway, please.
I also enjoy the retake pic... it looks like something I would've pulled off though in a different manner per se. I also noted the landline non-cordless phone while talking to dave. Was pre-cell phone era really that recent??? Astonishing!
Yeah Mek...I didn't have a cell phone until the first year after I graduated from Olaf. Even then I think it was several months before I finally got one. Of course, this picture was taken literally 11years ago, almost to the day. I'm not sure what the exact date is on it, but I know it's September 97. Yes. I'm old.
